Xylitol - extracted not manufactured

The natural sugar replacer xylitol is produced in several countries in the world including Sweden, India and China.

Annies has imported product from the same supplier in China for over 5 years. They also supply sugar free gum /mints. We have met on several occasions and our CEO visited the plant where the gum is manufactured in China early this year (2008). The same company supplies the Xylitol.

We have facility HACCP and food safety certification data on hand if required.

As a regular requirement with each shipment we insist on full product analysis.  We also conduct our own independent tests at regular intervals.

We totally understand the concerns that customers may have but have no reason whatsoever to doubt the quality and integrity of the supply source we use.

People must also understand that Xylitol is extracted, in this case from corn hush, and not manufactured from chemicals. Xylitol is just that - Xylitol.
