The natural pits and crevices in teeth are ideal locations for food and bacteria to become lodged and adhere to tooth enamel. If allowed to remain in contact with the teeth, dental plaque begins to form.

Plaque traps harmful bacteria against the teeth and allows the bacteria to remain undisturbed.

When sugar and bacteria come together, an acid production process begins. The resulting acid starts to dissolve tooth enamel in as little as 20 minutes.

Without treatment, the decay will progress through the tooth enamel, into the dentin and continue to pulp of the tooth where the nerves are located.

Annies Xylitol products fight cavities by creating an inhospitable environment for bacteria. Bacteria do not adhere to teeth in a Xylitol environment. As a result, plaque build up is substantially reduced and the decay-causing bacteria cannot adhere to tooth enamel.

It’s that simple. In the presence of Xylitol, bacteria can’t stick to teeth.
