Antioxidant Levels
With the public being made more aware antioxidants levels in products, here at Annies we have had our bars tested by Hort Research to find what levels are in our bars. The test used is based on what the ORAC units are per bar. What are ORACS ?
We tested our Veggie, Boysenberry, Blackberry, Strawberry, Plum and Cherry bar as well as a plain apple bar that is the base of all of our bars.
The results below show the ORAC unit level (amount of antioxidants) per bar (Table 1).
The next graph shows the equivanlent amounts of fruit servings per bar based on 1200 ORAC units equalling about 1 serve of fruit (Table 2)
The bars tested were our standard 40g Annies All Fruit Bars.
